GENERAL RULES 大まか ルール ■ Do not post anywhere on the site until your application is accepted. Don't be that guy, alright?
■ Our staff team works very hard both on the site and in real life. Please do not rush them for any reason!
■ This is a rated R site, but please keep it tasteful. Please do not roleplay out any detailed sexual content, not even in private messages!
■ Treat others with respect. Unnecessary trolling and flaming is not appreciated and if you are caught doing so you will be dealt with.
■ Don't cause any drama. This isn't high school, so every time you find yourself too heated, remind yourself that you are on an anime role-playing site about giant robots and it's not that serious!
■ NO LOITERING! When that is said it means that please do not just hang-out in the chatbox and not do anything on the site! This annoys many members, and staff, to a great extent. If you do not plan on joining, and we are truly not being rude when we say this, there isn't a reason to stick around, is there?
■ Do not brag about how awesome your life is or how awesome your character is in the chatbox. It's okay to discuss them and some of their cool abilities and traits, but constantly talking about how your character can beat up somebody else's is annoying to everybody present! Long story short, Revelation 2050 is not a place to measure your e-peen.
IMAGE RULES ■ Your face claim must be of ANIME or MANGA nature. This is an animanga site, after all.
■ Even though we are a rated M site, please do not use pornographic images in your miniprofiles, profiles, or posts.
■ Face claim changes are not encouraged, but you are allowed to if you really find it necessary. To do this, send a staff member a private message!
■ Please only use high quality images! If you are unable to produce or make any, check out the chatbox or the general area and someone will more than likely assist you if you ask!
■ If you use a face claim from a video game, make sure they have art of animanga nature. Try to stay away from CGI or computerized images!
■ Your avatar, hover image, and second image must be of your pilot. Your Nephilim image must be of your Nephilim. Your final 200x200 image can be whatever you wish.
■ Please make sure all your avatar fields are filled out! Staff may ask you to do this before you are approved!
CHARACTER/ACCOUNT RULES ■ Only one character per account.
■ Make sure your account is named your character's first and last name in ALL CAPITALS.
■ You must have at least 15 posts on your first character before making a second. You then must have 15 posts on your second character before making a third, and so on.
■ You cannot transfer posts between accounts. Since it determines your pilot's skill level, this wouldn't really make any sense, would it?
■ Please only make the amount of characters that you know you can handle and keep active.
■ Do not simply make your character a re-creation of your face claim. There may be some similarities, yes, hence why you chose the claim in the first place, but carbon copies are strictly not allowed. Believe it or not, this does happen more often than it should.
■ Try to avoid making your character a Mary Sue or Gary Stu. There are no rules exactly against this, but it is discouraged. However, if it is laid on too strong, we may ask you to revise your application.
■ Deleting your character is a rather simple task, but don't pester staff about it in the chatbox. If you wish to do this, PM a staff member and they will take care of it as soon as they can. You can transfer all of the deleted character's money to a different character, but please remember that you cannot transfer posts.
MINIPROFILE HELP ■ Your avatar works best if it is 150x150 in dimensions. This is the icon that appears when you are online in the active users list and the icon that appears next to your created threads. ■ Your hover avatar works best if it is exactly 250x400 in dimensions. This is your main avatar that appears next to your posts. ■ Your second image, or pilot image, works best if it is 200x150 in dimensions. Gifs are often used for this section. ■ Your Nephilim image works best if it is 200x150 in dimensions. Gifs are often used for this section. ■ Your final image, or your player image, works best if it is 200x200 in dimensions. This image can be whatever you want it to be, but keep it tasteful. ■ MP3 songs can be added to your profile by either finding a song on a site like MP3Skull or Downloads.nl, or by downloading a song and uploading it on a site like Picosong. ■ If you do not have image cropping and re-sizing software, you can find one online at Pixlr.com/editor. ■ An excellent site to host your images on after you edit them is Imgur.com. ■ High quality images of your face claim can usually be found on Zerochan.net. Just remember to not directly hotlink from there! ■ You can resize and crop gifs online at Ezgif.com! Just remember to save the gif and upload it somewhere, rather than linking it directly from Ezgif.

NEPHILIM CLASSES ネピリム クラス
Nephilim are built into one of four specialized classes to optimize them for a certain type of combat. It is important to chose your class wisely, as it cannot be changed in the future.
ASSAULT CLASS Assault Class Nephilim focus on attacking doing as much damage to the target as possible. They are usually outfitted with light or medium plating and heavy weaponry. Assault Classes can focus on melee combat, ranged combat, or both, due to their wide arsenal of weapons available to them. They are known to wield powerful swords and axes, along with massive-caliber automatic rifles and pistols. This class is usually argued as the "best" class, but its shields are mediocre, and it doesn't have a lot of special equipment to chose from.
BARRICADE CLASS A Barricade Class Nephilim focuses on defending with heavy plating and wearing out the target rather than brutalizing them with outright force. They are usually bulky and slow in nature, but make up for it by having the best shields available for use and the strongest plating out of any class. They are usually equipped with massive force-field shields and melee weapons, but some have been seen using ranged weapons such as shoulder cannons. The Barricade Class is preferred for those who want to ensure they can take a hit.
TEMPO CLASS A Tempo Class Nephilim is built for speed. They have the lightest plating out of any class and usually specialize in taking down the target as quickly as possible. They are more than often armed with ranged weaponry over melee weaponry due to the need to evade attacks over defending against them. They are some of the only Nephilim that have any sort of flying capability, making them somewhat unique in how they are controlled. Tempo Class Nephilim are usually only recommended to exceptionally skilled pilots.
GUERRILLA CLASS The Guerrilla Class Nephilim is perhaps the most obscure out of any of them. They focus on special weaponry, which means they don't really have a true focus. They can be optimized for nearly any situation, but cannot truly master any situation. They are mediocre all across the board, and their wide variety of special weapons such as cloaking technology, flamethrowers, unique melee weaponry, underwater systems, and more make them a wild card on the field of battle. Guerrilla Class Nephilim are only recommended to expert pilots.

PLOT INFORMATION プロット インフォ
In the year 2042 a group of scientists uncovered a fallen body and a mess of foreign machinery in a crater from what they previously thought to be a meteorite impact. The body was like nothing man had ever seen before, massive in size, and monstrous in appearance. It was assumed to be alien, and due to the runes engraved in its flesh that read similar to ancient Biblical text, its race were dubbed "demons." The alien, or demon, was hauled away to a secret lab to be studied and cloned, such technology being common-use. It was dissected over and over again, scientists eventually finding out that they could control the beasts through the use of a technology found along with the original body, something that would later be dubbed a "D6 Drive." They advanced further, the monsters began to resemble more like machines than creatures with each upgrade. They were armed, a result of mankind's lust for war, turned into giant mechanical weapons. They were functioning mech robots in spirit, steel titans, they were dubbed "Nephilim."
The company behind the construction of the Nephilim, ADAM, became revered for their progress and soon gave birth to a sister company, named EVE. Their two countries of origin, Japan and the USA, became the two most powerful countries in the world. Nobody opposed them; Earth was on its path to a new era of peace born out of fear.
Until the year 2047 came along. A monster descended from the sky over London, a creature similar in appearance to the first body. The "Demons" had returned, presumably for their fallen comrade, but humanity wasn't about to give that up. The Nephilim were booted up for real combat for the first time, and engaged the Demon, a creature dubbed Abaddon by EVE. The alien was eventually taken down, but at great cost; the entire city of London was leveled and three out of four pilots were lost in the battle.
On 2048, before humanity had a real chance to recover from the first attack, a second Demon descended on Jerusalem. This one was similar to the last, but yet vastly different, utilizing a psychic ability that had yet to be seen before. The alien, dubbed Asmodeus by ADAM, burned the city while repelling a full-out Nephilim attack. It eventually left, marking a defeat for Earth.
The attacks continues to this year, 2050, humanity losing a battle for every two they won, no real progress being made in the war. If one thing was good about the situation, it was the fact that the Demons were allowing mankind to breath, spreading out their apparent destruction of the planet over a multitude of years. Whenever this is because they feel mercy, or because they want to prolong the suffering, is unknown.
plot is heavily inspired by neon genesis evangelion and the rebuild of evangelion, and credit goes to hideaki anno for those series.

PILOT INFORMATION パイロット インフォ
Nephilim pilots must be specially chosen due to the delicate nature of the synchronization process. They must, unfortunately, be somebody who experienced the death of somebody relatively close to them at some point in their history. The soul of this person must be mounted into the D6 Drive in a Nephilim, and then the pilot that was associated with the mounted soul must be the one to pilot the robot. For this reason, replacement pilots are very difficult to come by, and once a soul is mounted, the military, or the ADAM or EVE corporation will be down the pilot's neck until they comply to operate the Nephilim. EVE is based out of America, and is one of the main developers of the Nephilim units. They work closely with the American, British, and Israeli governments to help the military repel the menacing mechanical-like demon units that have been invading Earth over the course of the past three years and generally handle the subject manner. EVE was originally a sister company to ADAM, a similar company based out of Japan that were the group that manufactured the first Nephilim unit. While they sometimes disagree with EVE, they work alongside them as their end goals of protecting humanity are one of the same. ADAM works closely with the Japanese and German military, and has been trying to branch into the Russian government, but with little success. These are the main two companies that draft pilots. Other countries have thus far been unsuccessful in recreating Nephilim units, and therefore must call on one of these companies to assist them when they need the firepower of one of the units. The main factor that determines which company a pilot works for is their nationality, though there are a few exceptions of an American pilot being drafted into ADAM and vice versa. The existence of the ADAM and EVE organizations are relatively unknown to the public, both functioning on the same level as a top-secret military sector. A pilot "levels up" by being active and posting. This is represented by a raise of skill, and with each "level," the pilot will have more control over their Nephilim. They are also treated more highly in-character by NPCs and other characters with each level. Ace Pilots are world famous, to the point where most characters will know of them.
■ Rookie: Beginner level. Can control their Nephilim for 5 posts when it is unplugged from the Umbilical Wire. ■ Adept: 25 posts. Can control their Nephilim for 8 posts when it is unplugged from the Umbilical Wire. ■ Elite: 50 posts. Can control their Nephilim for 12 posts when it is unplugged from the Umbilical Wire. ■ Expert: 75 posts. Can control their Nephilim for 16 posts when it is unplugged from the Umbilical Wire. ■ Ace: 100 posts. Can control their Nephilim for 20 posts when it is unplugged from the Umbilical Wire. NON-PILOTS The military and the ADAM and EVE companies still employ the use of people who are not pilots. In fact, many of the hierarchy are non-pilots. Some of these people include mechanics, scientists, inventors, medics, soldiers, politicians, and just everyday people trying to live in a world under near-constant attack.

NEPHILIM INFORMATION ネピリム インフォ Nephilim are commonly referred to as "giant robots" or "mech suits" by the general public. Although these terms are accepted and understood, they are in fact incorrect, as the armored giants are not entirely mechanical in nature. They are in fact living creatures, husks created from organic flesh and powered by a human soul through advanced cloning technology. They are then outfitted with a special and somewhat mysterious piece of machinery called a D6 Drive, or sometimes called a Devil Drive, a device that acts as the central engine and house of the imported soul in the "robot." They are then installed with another fancy piece of technology called a Spirit Plug, something that allows the pilot's soul to connect with the soul harbored in the D6 Drive. Finally, the Nephilim are covered in plating and outfitted with cybernetic parts (often replacing their limbs with them) to make them more suited for combat and easier to control. They are usually operated in city-limits by being attached to an Umbilical Wire that allows for the pilot to have indefinite control over their "mecha" despite their skill level. When detached from these, Nephilim generally have around five minutes before they are shutdown to avoid going into Berserk State. More information about both of these terms will be touched on later.
The fact that the Nephilim are organic is unknown to the public. ADAM and EVE, the two major manufacturers of the cyborgs, have convinced the public that they are in fact nothing more than giant robots, as their true gruesome nature could lead to the public to worry about something they shouldn't. To the common masses, Nephilim are soulless and lifeless mechanical husks that are nothing more than tools to defend humanity.
They couldn't be anymore wrong, but it is for the best.
SPIRIT PLUGS Spirit Plugs are the cockpit of the Nephilim that is usually located in their chest, head, or back. This runs on recovered demon technology (highly classified to the public and low-ranking pilots) that connects the pilot's soul with the soul inserted into the D6 Drive, effectively allowing them to synchronize with the cyborg and control it as if it were an extension of their own body. They can also feel everything the Nephilim feels, from simple touch to intense pain, although it is only a mental experience, and does not cause actual harm to the pilot unless if the cockpit is damaged.
The soul in the D6 Drive must be from somebody that had some sort of relationship with the pilot in life. If the two souls attempting to synchronize are strangers to each other, then the pilot will be rejected from any sort of control and the cyborg has a chance of being sent into the highly feared Berserk State.
It should be noted that while they are powered by human souls, Nephilim are incapable of communicating outside of feral screams and grunts, sounds that are usually prevented by bolting the monster's jaws shut.
UMBILICAL WIRE & CONTROL The Umbilical Wire is a system created by the manufacturers of the Nephilim to give the pilots full control of them. The wire, usually plugged into the cyborg's back, pacifies them and wipes their thought processes so that they are under total submission of the pilot's brain waves. While this is obviously useful, it limits the mecha's movement severely, to the point where any advanced acrobatic or evasive maneuvers are essentially impossible. The public believes these wires to be connected to the mecha's power source.
When disconnected from these wires, the Nephilim is then put into an emergency mode that automatically shuts down and locks the cyborg down after a certain amount of time. Usually, this is around five minutes, which is measured by five posts in character. As a pilot's ability and rank increases, then the amount of time they can control their Nephilim when it is disconnected increases. More information on this subject can be found in the pilot information thread.
Instead of simply shutting down, the Nephilim also has a slim chance of going into Berserk State when the shut-down procedure fails to activate properly or fully.
BERSERK STATE Berserk State is something that the leaders of the ADAM and EVE corporations and the military likes to keep silent about. It is a term for what happens when the Nephilim acts of its own accord, which usually results in a large amount of damage and pilot injury or death. This can happen in a number of ways, such as the pilot synchronizing poorly, the umbilical shutdown systems failing, when it becomes too damaged, or simply randomly or in unexplained matters. The operators can even remotely force a Nephilim into Berserk State if need be, though they deny this.
In this state, a Nephilim's strength is greatly increased and they act in a bestial manner. This is actually beneficial, and some pilots have even gone as far to attempt to control Berserk State with some success, utilizing the feral inner strength of the Nephilim to tear apart their enemies at close range. While this may seem like an ideal strategy, it is high risk, as it can cause damage to both the cyborg and the pilot. Additionally, the mecha is unable to use any of its ranged or advanced weaponry during this state.
Players can activate their character's Berserk State at their own discretion, but staff also has the power to remotely activate it if one of the above mentioned situations arises. No matter the rank of the pilot, Berserk State always lasts for around 5 minutes, or five posts before shutting down completely. If a Nephilim shuts down in Berserk State, it cannot be activated again for one thread. Fortunately, a Nephilim can be knocked out of Berserk State by re-entering the Umbilical Wire.
